WHY? This 1996 Porsche 911 (993) was such a joy to work on, the vehicle is in mint condition with only 35k original miles.  As impressive as Porsche’s are, they leave a lot to be desired in the audio department.  Some may say, the sounds of the Porsche are all you need to hear while driving this vehicle; however, we beg to differ.  Now, not only can  our client enjoy driving he beautiful Porsche, he can enjoy crisp, high-fidelity music while doing so, if he so chooses. This project was one that looked as great as it sounded, the rear seat addition to add the sub woofer, amps, and DSP, really turned out incredible, and best of all, it looks true to the vehicle.  That was the theme of this project, keep everything looking as OEM as possible.  Luckily, we were able to perform this entire upgrade without making any…

WHY? This client brought us his Volvo in 2018 for an audio upgrade, but had to settle for a more modest upgrade than he had hoped for.  He had heard one of our demo vehicle’s at the time and decided he needed that sound in his Volvo at some point in the future. Fast forward a couple years and the Volvo is back at Elevated Audio for a first-class audio upgrade.  This vehicle’s new audio system sounded fantastic and the additions made to the door panels look seamless. WHY?  A returning customer contacted us with a new vehicle of his looking to improve the sound system, without being intrusive on the vehicle.  We had previously installed a full audio system in his Ford Raptor, which he enjoyed before eventually selling that vehicle.  Although he enjoyed that system, he wanted something more refined for this new vehicle, a 2018 Mercedes Benz G550. He recently purchased this G550 and the factory audio system was lacking clarity, depth, and impact, everything just sounded good enough.  We decided to focus our attention on improving the front stage in the vehicle since the rear seat was rarely going to be utilized.  We were able to design a system that provided high-fidelity audio, without sacrificing space or altering the appearance of the vehicle’s interior. WHY?  Our client with this Chevrolet Colorado came to us looking for an audio upgrade, not knowing exactly what he was looking for in terms of an audio experience.  We discussed some options over the phone during the quarantine period and decided on a basic upgrade consisting of new front and rear speakers, a modest bass addition, and a 5-channel amp to run the entire system. Once we were finally able to re-open the shop for consultations and installations, this customer came in to listen to the system he  had decided on over the phone.  During the in-vehicle audio demonstration, we went through all of the possibilities, and it did not take long for him to realize he wanted a better audio experience than he had originally planned on purchasing. WHY?  This customer is a Saab enthusiast, and this is the second Saab he has brought into the shop for upgrades.  This time he brought in a 2006 Saab 9-3 that he was restoring back to showroom quality.  Not that the vehicle was in rough, because it wasn’t, but he now has this vehicle looking immaculate. The vehicle is a convertible, so we knew we needed to provide plenty of power to the front stage in order to have plenty of safe volume with the top down.  He also wanted something that imaged really well and would not lose its quality at louder volumes.  Lastly, he wanted to use the factory head unit and keep everything else looking completely stock when we were done. WHY?  This customer came into our shop after having shopped at some other local places and not finding what he was looking for.  He told us he wanted something with plenty of volume and good bass response. When we first jumped in his truck to listen to the factory Bang and Olufsen, he turned the volume all the way up and said it wasn’t loud enough.  This is not uncommon for us to see during the discovery phase of the consultation.  We need to get to know you and your listening preference in order to make suggestions to get you the system you’re in search of. Throughout the consultation, I learned that the customer was a huge fan of JL Audio and had used JL in most of his previous systems, so we designed a full JL Audio system with plenty of power and bass to meet the client’s needs. …

  WHY?  This customer contacted us from New Mexico because he could not find a shop near his area that could deliver what he was looking for. The vehicle was a 2019 Tacoma, which luckily we are very familiar with, but building an audio system via phone calls can be a bit challenging.  Luckily, we were able to discuss his past experience with audio in vehicles, but also his interest level in music and audio in general. I find that a lot of our customers are huge music lovers, but have never heard a properly designed and tuned audio system in a vehicle.  This client absolutely loved music and car audio, and unlike most, he had  heard a system in the past that was tuned  using a DSP (Digitally Signal Processed).
